Why do you think the worst of us, your spouses?
We drive long distances just to make sure there is food on your table.
We go weeks away from home just so you can have a safe roof over your head.
We sacrifice our time, our comfort, and sometimes our lives for our families.
Some of our hero drivers left for work and never came back home alive.
They came back in a casket.
That’s the reality of the road.
It hurts us to miss birthdays, school meetings, and nights with our children.
But we choose that pain so our children can eat,
so they can go to good schools,
so they can have a better future than we did.
It feels bad when the only thing people think about us are the bad stories.
Yes, the name “trucker” has been given a bad reputation.
But the truth is: we are good men. We love our families.
Everything we do, we do for you.
The road is dangerous.
We get robbed, we get attacked, we drive through storms and exhaustion.
But we choose to stay strong — for you, for our children.
All we ask is this:
Support us. Appreciate our efforts.
And most of all, cover us in prayer every time we’re on the road.
