No More Explaining
Afro-Reggae / Afro Soul – 5 Minutes
Written by: Decent Castor
Oh yeah…
Decent Castor…
Jah know my heart…
One life… one peace…
Listen…
I wake up with the sunrise, hope in my eyes,
No more living by another man’s advice.
Some will love you, some will criticize,
Still I keep my focus on the heavenly prize.
I no fit explain every step I take,
Some lessons only time can make.
If dem no understand my way,
Na Jah go speak for me one day.
Silence louder than a thousand words,
Truth no need to shout to be heard.
My peace no dey for sale,
I no go let confusion prevail.
The greatest freedom is waking every day,
Without needing everybody to approve my way.
Peace begins where explanation ends,
Jah is my guide, my Father and my Friend.
I no dey chase validation,
I dey walk by inspiration.
If you understand, I thank you.
If you don’t, Jah still dey carry me through.
Every flower no bloom the same time,
Every diamond first survive the mine.
My journey different, my purpose clear,
So I no go live my life in fear.
Some go doubt me, some go laugh,
Some go leave me in the middle of the path.
But every scar become my song,
And every trial make my spirit strong.
No anger… no hate…
Only love and faith.
The people meant for me will stay,
The rest will fade away.
I choose joy over noise,
Purpose over pride.
With Jah beside me,
I have nothing to hide.
The greatest freedom is waking every day,
Knowing who I am, no matter what they say.
Peace begins where explanation ends,
My soul no bend for passing trends.
I’ll keep moving with a grateful heart,
Every ending brings another start.
I answer only to the voice above,
Walking in truth, walking in love.
I don’t need the whole world to understand me.
I only need the strength to remain true to myself.
Jah knows my story…
Jah knows my heart…
And that’s enough.
