Owoicho ainyaooooo!
A le ya chaba ga ga!
Lord, I am grateful! (Eseun Baba!)
Growing up in Otukpo, I remember the days
Mama Onyanobi frying akara in the evening haze
Selling mama put early so we can eat and go to school
Though she is gone, her legacy is my golden rule
Okopi Idah my papa, strong and filled with grace
A self-made engineer, we can never replace
Six years in Ewulo College, trekking on my feet
No bike, no bicycle, but God made my life sweet!
Owoicho ainya, Owoicho ainya oooo! (Imela!)
A le ya chaba ga ga, You did it for me! (Eseun Baba!)
From the valley to the mountain, my story has changed
Oda na ya gama, God has rearranged!
Now I am a queen, a mother, a wife
Touching lives today, You gave me new life!
In 1994, I arrived in Kaduna so young
But my sister Martha became the ladder where I clung
An angel sent by God to push me to my crown
She sent me to school, now I can never look down!
Today I am a teacher, standing so tall
Olorun mi, You came and answered my call
Life tried to break me, but You made me tough
Your grace upon my life is more than enough!
Owoicho ainyaooooo!
A le ya chaba ga ga!
Ekwueme! Imela!
Thank You, Lord!
