Ya Allah... (subhanAllah!)
Guide my heart when I cannot see.
Sometimes the road is winding and dark
I ask myself why, looking for a spark
"Later, later," I say, but I don't understand
Why things don't go the way that I planned
But I lift my hands and I dry my tears
Knowing Your mercy will calm my fears.
Alhamdulillah for the highs and the lows! (alhamdulillah!)
Even when I don't understand, Allah knows
In His perfect time, it will all make sense
I put my trust in His benevolence
Ya Rabb, I surrender my heart to You
You are the Guide, the Eternal, the True.
We see the picture one piece at a time
But You see the whole of this life of mine
So when I am lost and I cry in the night
I'll remember Your promise, Your beautiful light
Sabr and prayer, my shield and my key
To unlock the blessings You've written for me.
