NDC OBOT AKARA CHAPTER CONDUCTS HITCH-FREE PRIMARIES

The Obot Akara Chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, conducted a hitch-free primary election on Friday, 29th May 2026.
The exercise was monitored by INEC officials. In attendance were: Amb. Enobong Inyang, State Deputy Chairman, NDC,
Elder Victor ukabi , ATM coordinator
Hon. Aniedi Anieunam – Chapter Chairman, Obot Akara,
Mr. Ubong Essien Ukpong,
Chapter Women Leader and Youth Leader, Chapter Secretary,
Ward Chairmen and their Executives as well as
Party faithful
The following aspirants emerged victorious as the party’s candidates:
1. His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi – Presidential Candidate
2. Rt. Hon. Engr. Michael Enyong – Governorship Candidate, Akwa Ibom State
3. Rt. Hon. Patty Etete Ineme – Senatorial Candidate, Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District
4. Barr. Boniface Akang – House of Representatives, Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency
5. Hon. Samuel Ukut - House of Assembly, Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara State Constituency.
The process was peaceful, transparent, and devoid of rancour, further demonstrating the unity and maturity of NDC in Obot Akara.
