Lyrics

Decent Castor on the mic…
Father God, we thank You for the gift of life.
Even when the road rough, we still dey stand.
Nigeria… this one na our story.

Wake up for morning, another struggle begin,
Empty pocket but the bills keep piling in.
Fuel don rise, food don rise,
Every market price dey touch the skies.
Mama dey pray make pikin see food chop,
Papa dey hustle but the money no dey drop.
Graduates for street dey search for work,
Many talents hidden, many dreams don cork.
Light no dey steady, darkness everywhere,
Yet we still survive by the grace we share.
Some people don lose hope, some don lose way,
But I still thank God for another new day.
Kidnapping, hardship, tears for the land,
Many people crying, looking for helping hand.
But if not for Jehovah wey hold us tight,
Who know whether we go see this light?

Thank You Lord for the gift of life,
Through the pain and through the strife.
Nigeria bleeding but we still survive,
By Your mercy we are still alive.
Oh Father, hear our cry,
Lift this nation, make us fly.
Though the road hard, we no go die,
By Your grace we testify.

The rich getting richer, poor man dey bend,
Everybody praying for a better end.
Youth dey grind from Port Harcourt to Lagos,
Searching for breakthrough, chasing the pesos.
Some friends don travel, some still remain,
Some carry smile but dey hide the pain.
Everyday na battle, everyday na war,
Trying to reach heaven while surviving the storm.
Still I remember where I come from,
The trenches taught me how to stay strong.
No silver spoon, no easy road,
Only faith in God and a heavy load.
Enemies plotting, evil all around,
But God keeps lifting when they want us down.
That’s why I kneel and raise my voice,
To thank my Maker for this precious choice.

Bless the farmers, bless the workers,
Bless the mothers and the fathers.
Bless the students chasing dreams,
Bless the hustlers in the streets.
Open doors where doors are closed,
Send Your favor where it’s needed most.
Let good news spread across the land,
And put success in every hand.

One day the story go change for good,
Peace and progress go fill the neighborhood.
The tears we cry today go become testimony,
The suffering of now no be forever journey.
We pray for leaders to lead with truth,
We pray for wisdom to guide the youth.
We pray for jobs and opportunities,
We pray for peace in our communities.
No matter the pressure, I still believe,
God never fails those who receive.
The same God wey carry us yesterday,
Go carry Nigeria to a brighter day.

Thank You Lord for breath in our lungs,
Thank You Lord for songs unsung.
Though Nigeria gets many scars,
We still dey shine like the stars.
Decent Castor…
To every hustler, keep believing.
To every family, keep praying.
To every Nigerian, keep standing.
God bless Nigeria.
Amen. 🙏🇳🇬🔥
